Master Of The Universe.
As part of a project during my first year, I crafted a book that symbolised the shift in my mental wellbeing from one of confined negativity to a release blissful happiness, all through a below average skatepark in my local area.
The book starts with black pages, with the type set to a harsh and enclosed grid layout, then changing to a pearl white with the same type yet freed of its boundaries.
The story has no context, it puts in simple words what my days consisted of, showing the emotions through the words being used.
The book was constructed in a way that it was gritty and scruffy, having a similar look to a skatepark graffiti marking.
MOTU was a name for our group of friends who were all misguided youths all brought together through a passion for skateboarding.
